Grants to Texas nonprofit organizations, government agencies, tribes, school districts, and IHEs to provide support services to people affected by crime. The purpose of funding is to assist individuals with the criminal justice process and speed their recovery. Applicants must be located in a county that has an average of 90% or above on both adult and juvenile dispositions entered into the computerized criminal history database maintained by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).

Projects selected for funding must begin on or after 10/01/2020 and expire on or before 9/30/2021. Due to the availability of funding, CJD can no longer support 24 month project periods. Projects may not exceed a 12 month project period.
