Grant Description

Opportunity for Israel early-stage startup companies with innovative ideas to participate in a business development program. Selected companies will benefit from mentorship, networking, and the opportunity to join an international business trip at the end of the program.

MassChallenge Israel works with corporate leaders across the innovation continuum, to offer a range of industry/interest-specific solutions that are tailored to meet our partners’ innovation goals. Working with MassChallenge Israel allows our partners to build, grow, and evolve their corporate innovation practices and connect with high-quality startups across the Israeli ecosystem and around the world through the MassChallenge global network.

Industry Tracks:

Alongside the program, they will be running industry specific tracks focused on critical industries ripe for global innovation. The 2023 program will include 6 tracks that will receive additional content and networking opportunities from leading experts in these fields. Joining a track is an additional time commitment but does not influence the odds of being accepted into the core accelerator program.

The following tracks are planned for the 2023 program:

  • The Global Sustainable Food Track: This track will focus on sustainable food and packaging and aim to accelerate the impact of startups in the fields of food production, distribution, packaging, and disposal.
  • The Better Plate Track – Alternative Protein: MassChallenge Israel in partnership with The Modern Agriculture Foundation (MAF) will be running for the second year a track focusing on alternative protein startups. Any processes or technologies that are used to provide sustainable alternative proteins are included in this category, including plant-based meat-like foods, cultured meats, fermentation products and land-based aquaculture as a means of protein intake.
  • The Med-tech Track: Startups in this track will be from the e-health and medical devices fields, coming up with ideas to solve medical issues and help millions of people around the world.
  • The Climate-tech Track: This track seeks to support innovators tackling the greatest challenge of the time – the preservation of the planet. It will include startups focusing on energy, environment, carbon accounting, sustainable transport, etc.
  • The Disaster-tech Track: This track is open to innovation tackling the prevention and mitigation of large scale disasters (earthquakes, tornadoes, floods, fires, etc.) as well as post-disaster factors such as communications, clean water, clean-up, humanitarian aid, etc.
  • The Bio-convergence Track: This track aims to help startups combining science and engineering in search of creative solutions that will transform the human condition for the better through deep-technologies.
