Eastern Shore Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD)
Grants of up to $250 to Virginia teachers and community group leaders in Accomack and Northampton Counties for environmental education and conservation projects. Funding is intended to support activities such as field trips, nature trails, outdoor classrooms, recycling programs, and storm drain stenciling.
Specific project ideas include: Development of outdoor classrooms and nature trails; purchase of materials and equipment for special displays and exhibits, including information booths at community events; water quality monitoring activities; demonstration sites; recycling projects; or Arbor Day observances.

A maximum of $250 will be granted.
An evaluation form is due within 30 days of spending the grant funds or 90 days from receipt of the funds, whichever comes first.
Grants are available to Teachers, 4-H Club Leaders, FFA Advisors, Ecology Club Sponsors, Garden Club Sponsors, Garden Club Representatives, Arbor Day Coordinators, and other school and community group leaders planning a conservation education project.
The Committee does not fund beautification projects, food or money for textbooks.
