Arkansas Users of Telecommunications and Information Systems (AUTIS)
Grants of up to $2,000 to Arkansas nonprofit and charitable organizations, such as libraries, schools, and clinics, to acquire and use computer and telecommunications-related equipment. Qualifying applicants will work hard to promote the health, well-being, and welfare of state residents. The equipment must be used to enhance the quantity or quality of the service provided.
Grant funds are made available:
-To foster the mission of AUTIS, which is “to promote the advancement of professional and technical knowledge in telecommunications, video and information systems management technologies.”
-To assist organizations in operating more efficiently through the use, acquisition and upgrading of technological skills.

Individual grants average $1,500.
Grant funds will be limited to $2,000 per application.
The project year will extend one calendar year from the date the grant is awarded.
Grant funds will assist nonprofit or charitable organizations (schools, libraries and clinics, etc.).
To qualify for a grant award an organization must:
-Be based in Arkansas
-Have a demonstrated need for funding
-Contribute to the health, welfare, or well-being of Arkansas citizens
-Use the telephone/computer equipment to enhance the quality/quantity of service provided
-Demonstrate a willingness to maximize the use of grant funds through clearly defined implementation plan
The closing date for receipt of proposals is March 23, 2018.
