Grants of up to $2,500 to Alaska schools and programs in eligible locations to support participation in sports by local children and youth. Funding is intended for the acquisition of ski equipment. Preference will be given to applicants that demonstrate matching funds, that have not had prior grants, and that have participated in the Outreach Program during the previous school year. Funds may only be used for the purchase of cross country skis, bindings, boots, or poles. Eligible applicants are located in Anchorage.

Individual grant amounts are generally between $500 and $2,500.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Anchorage schools and programs may apply.

Funding Preference:
- Schools that have participated in the Outreach program during the previous school year will be given preference.
- Schools that have a source of matching funds (ASEF, PTSA, School Business Partners, or private donations) will be given preference.
- Schools that have not had prior grants will be given preference.

Funds may not be used for indirect or administrative expenses.

Pre-Application Information:

- The application period for the 2021 Ski 4 Kids Equipment Grant program is now open.
- Application deadline: April 30th
- Grant awards announcements are made May 31st.

Grants funds are disbursed directly to the vendor for the equipment purchases.
