Grant Description
Grants to Michigan nonprofit organizations for programs and services to benefit children and youth in eligible communities. Applicants must attend an information session and register for the application portal prior to applying. Funding is intended for applicants serving Washtenaw County.
For 2024, the Youth Council has analyzed the Needs Assessment which was completed in November of 2020 and decided to strategically focus their efforts on one issue area to maximize impact:
  • Mental Health & Wellness: programs/projects which address depression, anxiety, self-harm, body image, academic stress and overall mental well-being for high school age youth (ages 13-18)
In addition, grants will be available for programs serving youth ages 5-18 which:
  • Support the work of the Juvenile Division of the Probate Court
  • Provide services for children living with disabilities


Additional Eligibility Criteria
501(c)(3) nonprofits providing services in Washtenaw County, Michigan are eligible to apply for grants from the AAACF.

Pre-Proposal Conference
Attend one of three required Information Sessions:
- Thursday, January 18th: 1:00 - 2:00 PM
- Monday, January 22nd: 10 :00 AM - 11:00 AM
- Thursday, February 1st: 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM

Note that AAACF launched a new NonProfit Portal this year. Every nonprofit must create a new account to access the Youth Council grant application and all future applications through AAACF.
