Grants of up to $5,000 to Las Vegas, Nevada homeowners associations, neighborhood associations, and business associations to enhance local neighborhoods within city limits. Funding is intended to support projects that address meaningful needs in local neighborhoods and that strive to transform local communities.

Examples of eligible projects include, but are not limited to, the following:

-Beautification and physical improvement projects: trees, plants, and shrubberies to improve entrances or common areas
-Cultural and community events (i.e., block parties, community workshops)
-After-school enrichment activities for children and youth
-Neighborhood signs, including neighborhood watch programs
-Cleanups: trash and debris pick up
-Safety improvement projects (screen doors, sensor-controlled lighting, security cameras)
-Benches and landscape for common areas
-Back-to-school backpacks/supplies for youth
-Newsletters to inform residents about important issues and upcoming events

All projects must be completed no later than May 30, 2019.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Neighborhood associations, homeowners association or business associations whose primary purpose is neighborhood improvement must:

-Be located within the City of Las Vegas;
-Be registered with the Office of Community Services (projects need to be implemented within the registered neighborhood's boundaries);
-Have a majority of the association's members living or operating businesses in the neighborhood;
-Demonstrate neighborhood support for the proposed project/program.

NPF funding may not be used for:

-Direct subsidy of existing services by community associations;
-Direct subsidy of care for the medically indigent;
-Projects identified with political parties of any kind;
-Projects proposed by a for-profit association;
-Associations that practice discrimination of any kind;
-General contributions to capital campaigns;
-Operating deficits or retirement of debt;
-Endowment programs; and
-Commercial housing or construction projects.
-Overhead costs or salary wages.

Pre-proposal Conference:

Four workshops have been scheduled to provide information about the NPF process and instructions for using Attendance to a workshop is recommended if you have not previously used Contact Alma Estrada, NPF Community Program Technician to register for ONE of the workshops presented at the 2018 dates, times and locations below:

Pre-Application Information:

Grants must be matched by the neighborhood with cash, volunteer labor, donated supplies, equipment or professional services.

First-time access to must occur via the City of Las Vegas’ Website. Afterwards, you may access directly.

All applicants will be required to make a 10-minute presentation to the Neighborhood Partners Fund (NPF) Board.

Grant Schedule:

- Monday, February 12, 2018: NPF Grant applications become available
- Tuesday, June 5, 2018: NPF Board Orientation & Applicant Presentations
- Tuesday, June 12, 2018: NPF Applicant Presentations
- Tuesday, June 19, 2018: NPF Board Project Selection and Funding Recommendations
- Tuesday, June 26, 2018: Contingency Date
- Wednesday, July 18, 2018: NPF recommendations presented to City Council
- Wednesday, July 25, 2018: NPF Grant Recipient Orientation Training and signing of agreements (2:00-4:00 p.m.)
- July 30, 2018 through June 14, 2019: Monitor Contracts, expenditures, conduct site visits
- Thursday, May 30, 2019: All projects must be completed, reports due
