Request a Grant Writer

Grants to Texas nonprofits and government entities for programs that improve community health in the Amarillo region. The two primary focus areas are programs that address the top health concerns of the community and programs that provide quality cancer care, prevention, and detection.

Projects must take place in the 26 northernmost counties of the Texas Panhandle.

The primary focus areas of the Foundation:

Cancer – HCHF is interested in initiatives that focus on providing the region with quality cancer care, cancer prevention, cancer detection, supportive care, and survivorship.

Community Health – HCHF is interested in funding initiatives that will improve the health and welfare of the community. Community Health is a broad term. Priority will be given to programs and projects that address the top identified health concerns and which will show the greatest promise for successful implementation.

Areas include, but not limited to:

- Access to Care
- Behavioral Health
- Chronic Disease Management and Prevention

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Eligibility:
- Must be a 501(c)(3) organization or governmental entity.

- Individuals are not eligible applicants.

- The Foundation will accept grant requests that will benefit the residents and communities of the 26 northernmost counties of the Texas Panhandle.

Pre-Application Information:

Current deadlines:
- Spring: March 12, 2018
- Fall: Sept. 10, 2018

Before applying, applicants are encouraged to contact Foundation staff for guidance on their proposed funding request. Decisions may take up to three weeks following a board meeting.
