Grants to New Mexico nonprofit organizations to increase access to services for local residents in eligible counties. Funding is intended for the focus areas of senior transportation, housing and food, parental supports and behavioral health, and education and youth mentorship. Eligible applicants must be located in or serving Los Alamos and/or Rio Arriba County residents.

The United Way of Northern New Mexico seek to fund programmatic work in the key service areas where residents in the region have reported experiencing barriers to accessing critical services they need. These areas assist a family or community to thrive and are statistically demonstrated to have high demand in the region.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

To apply for a United Way of Northern New Mexico (UWNNM) grant, organizations must meet all of the following criteria:
- Certified Non-profit 501(c) (3) in good standing with the IRS.
- In or serving Los Alamos and/or Rio Arriba County residents

Pre-Application Information:

Grant application window opens September 10, 2021.

Deadline for grant proposals: Friday, October 8, 2021 by 5:00pm MST

2022 Community Partners will be announced mid December.
