Grants to Whitley County, Indiana nonprofit organizations for programs in the areas of education, financial stability, and health. Funding is intended to improve the quality of life for local residents.

Proposed programs must fall into the Funding Source's three impact areas to be considered:

-Focus on moving individuals along the formal educational continuum.
-Fund agencies and programs that augment the work of the schools by providing tutoring, enrichment, or other supportive activities.

Financial Stability:
-Focus on moving families toward self-sufficiency.
-Fund agencies and programs that provide asset building activities such as employability training, life skills training, and financial literacy.

- Focus on improving the health and well being of those in the community.

Funding Period: July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The United Way of Whitley County is accepting applications from all 501(c)3 organizations that serve Whitley County.

Pre-Application Information:

Community Investment Process timeline:
- April 30, 2019 by 4:00 p.m. — Deadline for grant funding applications to be submitted to United Way of Whitley County.
- May 16, 2019 through June 15, 2019 – Community Investment Panels meet with grant applicants to discuss grant request and determine recommendations for funding.
- June 19, 2019 – Community Investment Panels make recommendations for funding to United Way of Whitley County Board of Directors.
- After June 19, 2019 – Grant recipients notified.

- Applications must be completed online.
- There are 4 application forms that must be completed.
- Handwritten applications will not be accepted.
