Grant Description
Grants of up to $5,000 to Arizona nonprofit and faith-based organizations, government agencies, schools, and tribal entities in eligible counties for programs that benefit local communities. Funding is intended for projects and activities that improve the quality of life for residents within Graham and Greenlee counties.

Funds can be used to:

  • Build the capacity of the organization
  • Support direct service projects and programs
  • Support capital expenditures
  • Provide general operating support and indirect/direct administrative costs


Additional Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to apply, your organization must belong to one of the following categories: 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, school, municipality, or tribal entity.

Pre-Proposal Conference
In preparation for the 2023 grant application process, the Arizona Community Foundation of Cochise and the Arizona Community Foundation of the Gila Valley will host grant application workshops throughout April and May.

If your organization serves Graham or Greenlee counties, attendance is strongly encouraged.

Pre-Application Information
Timeline for 2023 Grant Making:
- Grant cycle opens April 10, 2023, at 9:00 am.
- Deadline: Applications are due Friday, May 5, 2023 at 4:00 pm, no exceptions.
- Grant awards will be reviewed May 12-June 5, 2023
- Grant awards and decline notifications tentatively sent out by June 28, 2023.
- If funded, 2023 Final Report Due by September 19, 2024.

Only one application from each qualified organization will be accepted.

Due to the high volume of calls and inquiries as the deadline nears, organizations are encouraged to contact staff well in advance of the deadline with any questions. During the last week of any grant cycle’s duration, you may have limited access to ACF technical support. Please allow 24 hours for a response from staff.

All users will be required to update and complete their organizational profile before being able to submit any grant application.

Estimated Size of Grant
Proposals may be submitted for a minimum of $250 to a maximum of $5,000.

Term of Contract
Applicants may submit one-year and/or renewable funding proposals.
