Grants of up to $50,000 to Nevada trial courts for projects that will improve informational capacity and meet needs in the areas of security, technology, and court interpretation. The purpose of this program is to enhance trial court services. This grant program has two funding sources available to Nevada trial courts: The Uniform System of Judicial Records (USJR) Grant funds projects to improve the ability to provide accurate and timely mandatory USJR statistical information to the Nevada Supreme Court, and the Trial Court Improvement (TCI) Grant funds projects addressing court requirements in the areas of technology, security, and court interpreters.

Uniform System for Judicial Records (USJR) grant: This grant funds projects aligned with the purpose of USJR reporting. USJR is defined as: A system by which statistics and other data regarding the operation of the State Court System are collected, compiled, and transmitted to the Supreme Court.   • Statewide Statistical Systems and Automation Effort;
  • Court Automation System;
  • Data and Information; and
  • Other.

The Trial Court Improvement (TCI) grant: This grant funds projects addressing court order, statutory, or procedural requirements in the areas of technology, security, and court interpreters for Nevada trial courts.
