North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department (NDPRD) - Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF)

Grants to North Dakota local governments, state agencies, Tribes, and other political subdivisions for the acquisition and development of land for the purpose of outdoor recreation. Applicants must contact program staff prior to applying. Funded sites must be available for public use.
The Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership Program is targeting projects that would acquire and/or develop public land for outdoor recreation purposes located within or serving jurisdictions delineated by the Census Bureau from the 2010 Census as having populations of 50,000 or more people and consisting of densely settled territory.

-Maximum request: $750,000
The following entities only political subdivisions of the state of North Dakota with ownership of the project land) with a population of 50,000 or more people and consisting of densely settled territory are eligible and may apply:
-Cities, counties, and townships
-Park boards and park districts
-Water management districts
-Federally-recognized Indian tribes
Grants require a minimum of 1:1 match from state, local, or private sources.
Prior to submitting a pre-application, sponsors must contact Kevin Stankiewicz to notify their intent to submit a pre-application. Failure to do so will result in an automatic rejection of the application.
The sponsor and state will work together accordingly. Sponsor submits a completed pre-application via email. The deadline to submit a pre-application is August 1, 2018 at 1:00 PM Central Time.
