Request a Grant Writer

Grants of up to $1,000 to Maine nonprofit organizations and local government agencies to develop participatory arts programming targeting older adults. Funding will support high-quality programs that involve teaching artists working with seniors in a broad range of community settings. Possible settings include senior centers, libraries, arts organizations, and assisted and independent-living centers.

This funding cycle for this program is July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019. Funds will not be available until after July 1, and cannot be spent for activities outside the funding cycle dates.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Your organization is eligible to apply if it meets all of the following criteria:
-Is a nonprofit organization, legally established in the state of Maine.
-Has a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service or is a unit of municipal, county or tribal government.
-Is in compliance with final reports required for any previous Maine Arts Commission awards.

The application deadline is October 19, 2018.

There is a required 1:1 in-kind or cash match for this grant.
