SurreyCares Community Foundation
Grants of up to $5,000 to British Columbia nonprofit organizations in an eligible region to benefit youth and individuals with special needs, and to address vital community needs. Focus areas eligible for funding may include: arts and culture, education and literacy, local heritage, immigrants, the environment, and seniors. Organizations serving the Surrey community and its residents may apply.
General Funds were set up to provide the greatest impact on community needs. This allows SurreyCares the discretion to direct funds to the most critical needs in the City. We have made the decision to fund needs that are identified by the most recent Surrey Vital Signs report. These may include Arts & Culture, Education & Literacy, Heritage, Successful Integration of Immigrants into Surrey Society, the Environment, and Seniors.
The SRS Vocational Services Society Fund was established to provide grants for charities that offer employment programs for adults who are disadvantaged.
The Coast Capital, Surrey Youth and CIBC Wood Gundy Field of Interest Funds were established by donors who have indicated youth as an area of community need but leave the decision-making up to SurreyCares based on donor criteria.
