Indian Nations Council of Governments (INCOG), Transportation Planning Division; supported by the US Department of Transportation and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation
Grants to Tulsa area, Oklahoma local governments, school districts, transit agencies, and tribal governments to enhance local transportation through bicycle and pedestrian projects. Projects must take place in eligible areas of Creek, Osage, Rogers, Tulsa, and Wagoner Counties.
Categories:
1) Large Projects
A total of $2 million is available for Large Projects of up to $500,000. Examples of eligible projects include:
-Multi-use trail
-Sidewalk connecting major pedestrian generators
-Bicycle facilities
-Bike-share capital costs
-Safe bicycle and pedestrian crossings
-Streetscapes
2) Small Projects
A total of $200,000 is available for Small Projects of up to $75,000. Examples of eligible projects include:
-Design for project that would be eligible for Category 1 funding in the future
-Signals to increase pedestrian safety
-ADA access to transit stops
-Bike parking
-On-street bikeways and bike lanes (striping and signage)

Additional Eligibility Criteria
Eligible Project Sponsors:
-Local governments;
-Regional transportation authorities;
-Transit agencies;
-Natural resource or public land agencies;
-School districts, local education agencies, or schools;
-Tribal governments; and
-Any other local or regional governmental entity with responsibility for oversight of transportation or recreational trails (other than a metropolitan planning organization or a State agency) that the State determines to be eligible, consistent with the goals of subsection (c) of section 213 of title 23.

Under TAP, nonprofits are not eligible as direct grant recipients of the funds. Nonprofits are eligible to partner with any eligible entity on an eligible TAP project, if State or local requirements permit.

-Wednesday, March 30, 2016: Application Cycle Opens
-Friday, May 20, 2016: Applications Due to INCOG by 5:00 PM
-Wednesday, June 15, 2016: INCOG staff present project recommendations to the Transportation Technical Committee
-Wednesday, June 29, 2016: Transportation Policy Committee recommends projects to INCOG Board of Directors
-Tuesday, July 12, 2016: INCOG Board of Directors approves project selection
