Grant Description
Grants of up to $5,000 to Iowa nonprofit organizations for projects that benefit women and children in eligible regions. The projects should address barriers to opportunity and support self-sufficiency. The Foundation's vision is that diverse community members who share a vision for the region will implement programs that will have a lasting impact. Funds are intended to benefit residents of Dubuque, Clayton, and Clinton Counties.

Each year, the Women’s Giving Circle makes grants to nonprofits to support projects or programs that help the women and children whom the organization serves to gain self-sufficiency, and/or to significantly address barriers to opportunity for women and children.

Preference is given to proposals that use one or more of the following approaches:

  • Improve the quality of life for women and children in the community
  • Eliminate gaps in services and systems

  • Support an open, growing, and diverse community
  • Increase equity and social justice
