The Astle-Alpaugh Family Foundation
Grants of up to $12,000 to Central New Jersey nonprofit organizations to improve the lives of families and individuals within the funding source’s service area. Letters of Inquiry are due September 1. Program areas include history, arts, and health and wellbeing. Requests must be consistent with the Foundation’s mission and priorities.
The Foundation seeks to provide stability and hope for the elderly and for at-risk children and youth, as well as for persons suffering from illness, hunger, poverty, abuse, and chemical dependency.
The Foundation strives to foster community involvement in education and funds diverse educational programs.
The Foundation place a strong priority on the improvement of the local community and supports museums, community centers, and historic preservation.

Proposals will be considered up to a maximum of $12,000.
Projects that extend over multiple fiscal years are ineligible for support.
Organizations receiving awards are eligible to apply for funding in subsequent years, following successful programming and fulfillment of reporting requirements.
Organizations eligible to apply for a grant from the Foundation must:
-Be nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organizations
-Serve the local community of Central New Jersey
The Foundation no longer fund student scholarships.
2017 Grant Cycle:
-June 1, 2017: The Cycle opens.
-June 1 through September 1, 2017: Letter of Inquiry (LOI) submissions are accepted
-September 1, 2017: LOIs must be submitted or postmarked on this date to be considered
-October 18, 2017: Requests for Full Proposals (RFPs) are sent by this date
-January 12, 2018: Deadline for Full Proposals: Proposals must be submitted or postmarked by this date to be considered.
-February 19 - March 5, 2018*: Grant Awards and Agreement Letters Issued. Award amounts, if any, will be determined by this time.
-August 24, 2018**: Grantees’ Final Reports due. This report must be completed in order for a grantee to reapply for funding
* In some cases, grant checks may be issued later in accordance with project/program schedules
