Grants to Bronx, New York nonprofit organizations, schools, institutes of higher education, and little leagues to improve the quality of life for local residents. Requests will be considered for programs and projects in the areas of health, education, recreation, arts, and culture.

Applicants may request three types of grants:
-Small Grants: $500 Minimum to $1,500 Maximum
-Sports Equipment Grants: $500 Minimum to $2,500 Maximum and/ or Yankee Ticket Requests
-Large Grants: $1,501 Minimum to $15,000 Maximum

Elementary, high schools, and institutes of higher education may request up to $5,000.

Estimated Size of Grant:

-Small Grants: $500 Minimum to $1,500 Maximum
-Sports Equipment Grants: $500 Minimum to $2,500 Maximum
-Large Grants: $1,501 Minimum to $15,000 Maximum

-For Elementary Schools & High Schools, a Maximum Grant up to $5,000 will be considered
-For Higher Education, a Maximum Grant up to $5,000 will be considered

Term of Contract:

Small Grants: Repeat requests acceptable
Sports Equipment Grants: Repeat requests acceptable
Large Grants: 3 consecutive year request maximum

Organizations may apply for 3 consecutive years and then must skip a year before applying again. For example: If you received funding in 2015, 2016 & 2017 you will NOT be eligible to apply for 2018.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Organizations must be Bronx-based to apply. This means that the principal place of business is in the Bronx.

Nonprofits should provide evidence of 501(c)(3) status or use a qualifying fiscal sponsor.

Schools (including elementary schools, secondary schools, and institutions of higher education) and little leagues are eligible to apply for funding.

Little League Organizations that are NOT 501 c3 and have a LL Charter must submit a current Charter

Ineligible Requests:
-Political contributions
-Religious purposes
-Start-up groups/organizations- must be in existence for at least 3 years.
-Ticket purchases (for dinners, golf outings, or similar fundraising events)
-One Day Events (such as street fairs, parades, etc.)
-Permanent funding
-Capital Improvements (building, repairs, property improvement)
-Personnel Services, Salary and Administrative expense
-Consultant Fees

To apply, download the attached application forms. Applicants for Sports Equipment Grants should use the Small Grants application. Please do not send applications via overnight or registered mail. Please mail via regular mail or via email to ensure timely delivery.

2018 Deadlines:

-February 2, 2018 - Deadline for 2018 Sport Equipment Grants

-March 2,, 2018 - Deadline for Spring/Summer funding

-July 31, 2018 - Deadline for Fall/Winter funding

Note: Sports Equipment grants will be paid directly by the NY Yankees if approved and can take 6-8 weeks to get paid.
