Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Only nonprofit organizations that are tax-exempt under the Internal Revenue Code’s sections 501(c)(3) or 170(c) are eligible for grants. The Foundation does not make grants to individuals.

The Board of Trustees prefers not to fund organizations that in turn make grants to others.

Pre-Application Information:

Please email a one-page letter of intent summarizing the organization and project to Elizabeth W. Gerner (see contact details below). Organizations will then be invited to submit a formal application. Requests will be reviewed and evaluated before they are presented to the Board of Trustees.
Applicants must submit a letter of intent prior in advance of the deadline.

The Board of Trustees meets once a year, in the fall, to consider grant requests. Formal grant applications should reach the Foundation no later than August 15 for a November decision.
