Willmar Area Community Foundation (WACF) - New London-Spicer Area Fund (NLSAF)
Grants ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 to Kandiyohi County, Minnesota nonprofits and government agencies (including faith-based agencies) for programs focusing on the arts (performing, crafts, and fine arts), healthy communities and lifestyles, the environment, large-scale and sustainable initiatives, and special collaboration initiatives involving two or more organizations working together in new ways.
Eligible applicants must be serving residents in the Townships of Arctander, Burbank, Colfax, Dovre, Green Lake, Harrison, Irving, Lake Andrew, Mamre, New London, Norway Lake, and Roseville in Kandiyohi County.
Funding will be provided for the following types of requests:
- Capital (equipment and buildings),
- Programs/Project Expansion.

Multi-year requests for capital projects are not funded.
Eligible organizations: 501(c) 3 nonprofit Organizations, schools or government entities.
Geographic Area: 12 northern townships of Kandiyohi County: Arctander, Burbank, Colfax, Dovre, Green Lake, Harrison, Irving, Lake Andrew, Mamre, New London, Norway Lake and Roseville.
The Willmar Area Community Foundation (WACF) also provides funding to faith-based groups that meet certain guidelines (See Supporting Documents below).
What is Not Funded:
- Religious organizations for religious purposes
- Political organizations or political campaigns.
- Annual fundraising drives
- Debt retirement or deficit financing
- Projects that have already been completed
- Scholarships or medical research
- Grants for travel or Conferences
- Multi-year requests for Capital projects
Online Application Opens: September 1, 2017
Application Deadline: November 1, 2017
Organizations may only submit one grant application per year.
Decisions made within 90 days of deadline.
