Grants to Allegheny County, Pennsylvania organizations to provide legal aid to veterans, the elderly, and low-income residents and to promote public understanding of law-related issues. Programs that provide pro bono counsel to low-income clients will be given preference when evaluating legal-aid grant requests.

The Allegheny County Bar Foundation offers two types of grant programs:

- Legal-Aid Grants: The ACBF supports programs that assist in responding to the changing legal needs in the community at large and promote the public understanding, interest, and support of legal-related issues. For more information, see the URL for Full Text link below.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Organizations providing law-related programs that benefit the residents of Allegheny County may apply.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14, 2019.

The foundation annually reviews grant proposals in September and distributes the funds the following January.

When submitting your proposal, organizations are requested to indicate whether they are applying for a Legal-aid grant, Military Veterans/Elderly Fund grant, or both.
