Grants typically ranging from $100 to $1,000 to Arizona schools, civic clubs, teams, and other community groups for programs that promote long-term fitness for children, with a special focus on running-related programs or activities.

Funding is intended to promote the development of healthy lifestyles for children in the region. Funding should be used for programs that prepare children for a lifetime of individual exercise, regardless of physical condition or ability.

Historically, proposals have asked for $100 to $1,000.

In the past, grants have been made to schools, civic clubs, teams, and other groups.

SAR does not approve funding for administrative costs.

Proposals must be submitted by August 1st, 2017 in order to be reviewed by the SAR board at the Annual Board Meeting in August. Grant recipients will be rewarded by mid-September.

Before starting your grant application, please review the funding source's website listed below for updates/changes/addendums/conferences/LOIs.
