Grants ranging from $100 to $500 to USA individual teachers in multiple states for projects that will increase student success and achievement. Teachers in Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia may apply.

Preference will be given to projects on the subjects of science, mathematics, technology, electrical safety, the balanced study of energy and the environment, and energy efficiency.

Highly regarded projects will incorporate matching funds, community resources, and interdisciplinary or team-teaching projects.

Priority may be given to educators who:

- Have attended AEP Workshops for Educators
- Have participated in the National Energy Education Development (NEED) Project
- Are affiliated with an AEP school-business partnership

Grant awards range from $100 to $500.

Grants are for the 2017-18 school year.

Teachers of pre-K through Grade 12 who live or teach in the AEP service area or in communities with major AEP facilities may apply.

Funds may not be used for stipends or meals.

A limit of one grant may be awarded per teacher per year. Grants may be limited to two per school per year.

American Electric Power Company, Inc., its affiliates and the American Electric Power Foundation provide donations or grants only to organizations that do not, either through constitution or any written policy, discriminate against others on the basis of political affiliation, religious belief, age, disability, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, national origin, race or sexual orientation. Each organization applying for support must affirm in its funding request or in the AEP or AEP Foundation on-line grant application that it does not discriminate in this manner.

The AEP Teacher Vision Grant program accepts grants for consideration annually through the fourth Friday of each February. Review and awarding of grants may take up to three months.
