Grants to Georgia and Virginia charitable organizations for education, health, and human services projects in the service area, which includes the City of Macon in Georgia and the Cities of Richmond and Chatham Hall in Virginia.
Funding will be provided for activities that:
(a) Promote education, including instruction and training that help to build human capabilities;
(b) Focus on relieving human suffering due to disease, ill health, physical weakness, disability, or injury; and/or
(c) Aim to prolong life and improve the quality of life, especially for children.

Grants from the Mary Wilmer Covey Charitable Trust are primarily one year in duration. On occasion, multi-year support is awarded.
The Trust has a preference for charitable organizations located in Macon, GA, Richmond, VA, and Chatham Hall, VA.
Please submit online applications by 11:59 PM on the day of the Foundation’s deadline date. If the application deadline date falls on a weekend or holiday, proposals must be submitted on the prior business day.
The Mary Wilmer Covey Charitable Trust application deadline is September 1. Applicants will be notified of grant decisions by letter within one to two months after the deadline.
