Grants of $1,000 to Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont nonprofit organizations for historic preservation activities. Applications are invited from small and mid-sized heritage organizations for projects that promote historic preservation and advance the funding source’s goal of presenting diverse stories of life in the New England region.
Historic New England believes in being a regional partner for heritage organizations. Community Preservation Grants demonstrate the Foundation's belief that collaboration among organizations devoted to preservation activities will strengthen all efforts and raise the visibility and importance of preservation throughout New England.

Applications are due by Monday, August 17, at 5:00 PM.
Through submission of this grant application, applicant agrees that Historic New England may list and publicize successful applicants and projects as participants in the program and use all forms of print and electronic media to build visibility for the program, applicant, and project without restriction. Applicant agrees to credit the Herbert and Louise Whitney Fund Community Preservation Grants program in all visibility and publicity in relation to the funded project.
