The Sowers Club of Lincoln
Grants to Nebraska nonprofit organizations to improve the quality of life in local communities. Priority focus areas include children, education, the underprivileged, community safety, individuals with disabilities, medical support, and community service organizations.

Nonprofits that have had a 501(c)3 status for at least five years are eligible to apply.
Grant Requests will not be considered for the support of the following:
- Promoting religious purposes
- Political purposes
The Sowers accepts grant applications three times a year. Deadlines are February 15, June 15, and September 15.
Upon submission of the application, please include a copy of the "Letter of Determination" regarding agency's 501(c)3 status and a copy of your annual report or current balance sheet outlining your administrative costs.
Once a grant is submitted, the Grant Disbursement Committee meets and reviews your grant in detail. Their recommendations are then given to the Board of Directors for final approval at their next regularly scheduled meeting. You are then notified by mail whether your application has been accepted or denied. If denied, you are welcome to apply during another grant cycle.
This process takes approximately 30-45 days from the deadline date.
