Grants of up to $5,000 to Athens, Tennessee area nonprofit organizations for programs benefiting local communities in Bradley, McMinn, Meigs, Monroe, Loudon, and Polk counties. Funding is intended for programs in the areas of job training, affordable housing, and initiatives that benefit the economically disadvantaged. Programs in the fields of health care, supportive human services, and education are also a priority.
Additionally, the Foundation will support local cultural groups and institutions for the purpose of broadening access to cultural and arts activities.

$5,000 is the maximum amount that will be awarded. Grant proposals for less than $5,000 are welcome.
Athens Federal Foundation Grants will support programs or projects occurring from 12-01-2017 through 12-01-2018.
Nonprofit organizations in Bradley, Monroe, McMinn, Meigs, Loudon and Polk counties that are tax-exempt under Section 501c (3) of the Internal Revenue Code are eligible to apply.
Political organizations, fraternal organizations, and individuals are not eligible to receive grant funds.
Grant applications will be accepted from June 8 - August 10 (at 5 p.m. EST), 2017. Completed applications and attachments must be submitted to Athens Federal Foundation by end of business day on or before August 10, 2017.
Awards will be announced in late October.
