Grants to Texas, Tennessee, and North Carolina nonprofit organizations to enhance the quality of life for the residents living within a twenty five mile radius of Salisbury, Nashville, and Colleyville. LOIs are required for first-time applicants. The funding source's mission is to enhance the quality of life for individuals who are least likely to be able to do that on their own; aiding primarily, but not exclusively: the elderly, individuals with developmental and/or physical disabilities, the chronically or terminally ill, and disadvantaged children.

General Funding Areas:

- Pathways to financial stability/security through workforce skills training
- Socialization opportunities for seniors
- Programs that assist the developmentally and/or physically disabled live more independently
- Creative expression for underprivileged children
- Medical research for Alzheimer’s disease and cancer
- Mentorship programs

The Foundation understands and supports grants for general operating.

The Holloway Family Foundation has awarded over $2,000,000 in grants since its inception, seeking out agencies that are providing the most good in support of the most needy in our communities. The Foundation maintains a personal connection to its grantees, choosing carefully to respect the integrity of the donors’ intent.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

An organization must have current 501(c)(3) Public Charity status.

The organization must serve a USA population.

The Foundation limits grants by geographic location, giving consideration specifically to agencies within a 25 mile radius of Colleyville, TX, Nashville, TN and Salisbury, NC.

General Exclusions:

- Political activists or political action committees
- Loans
- Projects of organizations whose policies or practices discriminate on the basis of ethnic origin, gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation
- Grants that benefit specific individuals

Pre-Application Information:

Applications may be submitted at any time. Distributions are made in June and December of each calendar year. Spring cycle applicants will be notified in writing by June 30th, fall applicants by December 30th. The deadline for consideration of a June distribution is March 15th. The deadline for consideration of a December distribution is October 15th.

Note: First-time applicants must submit an online LOI.

Grant recipients are limited to one grant per calendar year.

In most instances, a board or staff member will conduct a site visit.

The Foundation strongly considers Board member giving.
