Grants ranging from $10,000 to $50,000 to eligible Arizona Native American tribes to address critical issues within their communities. Eligible tribes include San Carlos Apache, White Mountain Apache, Hualapai, and Tohono O’odham. Programs may impact and benefit tribal communities in the areas of health and wellness, the preservation of tribal cultures, and education and training. Consideration will also be given to projects within the priority areas that support women’s development and engage elders.

The Native American Partnership Fund has been established to support projects in designated Native American reservation communities that address priority issues and needs identified through ongoing engagement between Freeport-McMoRan and tribal leaders/community members.

- Provide opportunities for tribal members to increase their education, skills and employment
- Ensure that grants/investments yield maximum positive results for the greatest number of people, support community wellbeing, and increase the long-term prosperity of the community

The Fund has also been established to support programs and projects that encourage a strong focus on capacity-building, community development and sustainability.

Eligible projects should:
-Focus on initiatives and outcomes that will be sustainable beyond the life of Freeport-McMoRan
-Benefit the community as a whole and not a single organization or individual
-Have a clear purpose and operate transparently based on demonstrated need for project
-Measure and evaluate impact
