Grants for projects in Texas that involve the improvement, development, and expansion of recreational trails. Funding may be requested for both non-motorized and motorized trails. Examples of eligible projects include new trail construction, improvements of existing trails, trail corridor acquisition, and the development of trailheads or trailside facilities.

The maximum grant is $200,000 for non-motorized trails; currently there is not a maximum amount for motorized trails.

Projects involving both motorized and non-motorized trails are eligible.

Grants can be up to 80% of project cost.
