Grants to North Dakota nonprofit organizations in eligible areas to enhance the quality of life for local residents. Previous recipients include youth groups, first responders, fire departments, booster clubs, and park boards. Funding is intended for organizations and projects located in the Kindred School District, which includes the communities of Davenport, Hickson, Kindred, Leonard, Oxbow, and Walcott.
In funding decisions, the Advisory Board will consider:
Each project on the merits of the project
Organizational management and integrity
Level of local involvement and community support, to include fundraising
The number of residents served and the overall impact on the community
Degree to which the Kindred Area Community Foundation grant will affect the success of the project
Others (see text field entitled "Additional Eligibility Criteria" for clarification)
Additional Eligibility Criteria
Grants shall be awarded only to those organizations designated by the IRS Code as 501(c)(3) non-profit tax exempt groups, or government agencies and/or projects within the boundaries of the Kindred School District. An organization must be based within those boundaries to qualify for funding.
Low priority will be given to applications requesting funding for day-to-day operations.
Grants to religious organizations shall be limited to those activities which are non-denominational and serve the entire community.
Ineligible
The Kindred Area Community Foundation shall not make grants to individuals.
