Grants ranging from $5,000 to $30,000 to Idaho nonprofit organizations and governmental agencies, including public education institutions, for efforts to increase access to, and improve the quality of, behavioral health programs in Bonner and Boundary Counties. For the purposes of these grants, “behavioral health programs” include, but are not limited to:

- Psychiatric or psychotherapy treatment
- Substance abuse treatment
- Suicide prevention and education
- Group or individual therapy or counseling
- Inpatient or outpatient treatment
- Ancillary programs designed to support those in behavioral health treatment (e.g. transportation, housing assistance, food security, child care, etc.)

Estimated Size of Grant:

Most grant awards will likely range from $5,000 to $30,000.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Organizations eligible to apply include tax-exempt organizations with current 501(c)(3) public charity status and governmental agencies or departments, including public education institutions.

ICF will occasionally fund projects initiated by organizations that do not have current federal tax-exempt status if the organization secures a qualifying tax-exempt fiscal sponsor.

Organizations may be located outside Bonner and Boundary Counties, as long as funded programs and projects benefit residents located within those Counties.

Each organization may submit only one application per year.

Prior grant recipients may apply again within one year of receiving their last grant.

Note: Previous grant recipients must submit a final report within one year (on September 30) to be considered.

Pre-Application Information:

The application cycle begins on July 1.

Grant applications will be accepted once per year during a Fall Grant Cycle. The deadline to submit applications is September 30.

Applications must be submitted online through the Idaho Community Foundation website. Late applications will not be accepted.

Applications will be reviewed and notifications will be made in November, with grants being paid out prior to December 1.
