Grants to New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut nonprofits for programs and projects that benefit local communities where the funding source operates. Particular focus will be given to programs in the areas of STEM education, safety and preparedness, sustainable neighborhoods, and employee volunteerism.

Focus areas include:

1) Sustainable Neighborhoods
Supporting programs that promote environmental stewardship, sustain neighborhoods, and strengthen relationships in the communities where the Foundation operates.

2) STEM Education
Sparking curiosity and building a continued passion for science, technology, engineering, and math.

3) Safety and Preparedness
Strengthening safety systems and building resiliency within local communities.

4) PSEG Employee Engagement/Volunteerism
Engaging PSEG employees, their families, and non-profit organizations through structured volunteer programs and opportunities.

The organization must be an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) or a 170(B).

Not eligible for funding:
- Individuals.
- Organizations not exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code.
- Sectarian purpose programs that promote religious doctrines or exclude participants based on religion.
- Political causes, candidates, organizations or campaigns.
- Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, sex, sexual orientation or religion.
- Organizations with a primary purpose of influencing legislation.
- Athletic, labor or fraternal groups.
- Endowments.
- Programs/organizations for which PSEG is asked to serve as the sole funder.

Grant requests may be submitted through the online general application on a rolling basis until October 31.

Applications are reviewed over a 12-week period. During the review period, the Foundation may request additional information via email or phone and/or request a site visit to learn more about the organization and the funding request.
