Grants of up to $5,000 to South Carolina elementary, middle, and high schools to engage students in litter cleanup activities, recycling, and other beautification projects. The purpose of this program is to involve students in activities that will educate them about the importance of keeping the state clean and attractive, and fostering a sense of pride in the next generation.
Examples of eligible grant activities may include any combination of the following:
-Beautification projects such as Carolina Fence, Gardens; Schoolyard Habitats; Rain Gardens
-Litter Reduction/Recycling projects: Some examples include school-wide Recycling; Recycling Troopers Program
All grant recipients are required to incorporate at least one anti-litter lesson with the project. To help you fulfill this stipulation, you can request a copy of the PalmettoPride K-12 Litter Curriculum or have one of the PalmettoPride staff members do a presentation for your students.
All grant recipients must participate in the Great American Cleanup. Cleanup supplies are provided. The supply request form must be filled out and returned by the appropriate deadline in order to receive donated supplies.

Grantees must also participate in the Great American Cleanup initiative. The supply request form must be filled out and returned by January 15 in order to receive donated supplies for a Great American Cleanup event.
