Grants of up to $2,800 to Oklahoma IHE faculty to cover the costs of traveling (domestically within the USA) to meet scientists at one of the funding source's centers. Travel will be for the purposes of exploring collaboration on research projects in one of the following areas: aeronautics research, human exploration and operations, science, or space technology mission directorate.
Funds will be provided for faculty to spend up to three days and two nights at a NASA Center visiting with scientists. The purpose of this grant is to provide the first step in initiating contact and forging a direct partnership with a NASA Center to develop possible research projects.
Faculty may include students researchers in travel.
Research must align with the NASA Strategic Plan (2018) and NASA Areas of Interest.

The period of performance is November 12, 2018 - June 21, 2019. Funds will support visits of up to three days and two nights.
IHE faculty in Oklahoma may apply.
-All travel must be domestic only.
-Research Initiation Grant funds may not be used for international travel
-Only proposals utilizing the provided linked forms will be reviewed
-Permanent equipment and faculty salaries may not be included in the budget
-No IDC may be charged

All applications must include a letter of support and a commitment to collaborate from a NASA Center counterpart.
