McGovern Institute for Brain Research at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)
Award to a USA, Canada, or International individual to recognize significant contributions to advancing the field of neuroscience. Nominators must be individuals associated with universities, hospitals, medicals schools, or research institutes, and have a background in neuroscience. The recipient is required to presents a public lecture in the spring of 2018.

Candidates for the award must be nominated by individuals affiliated with universities, hospitals, medicals schools, or research institutes, with a background in neuroscience.
Self-nomination is not permitted.
Members of the selection committee and faculty affiliated with MIT are not eligible.
Calls for nominations are announced in the fall. Winners are announced early the following year, and the prize ceremony, which includes a public lecture, takes place in the spring.
Recipient must attend all events to be awarded the prize.
Nomination Deadline: December 15, 2017
Announcement of the award recipient will be made in January 2018.
