Grants ranging from $2,500 to $10,000 to Miami-Dade County, Florida nonprofits for projects that identify the needs of the Jewish community based on population studies. Funding will be provided to support new projects or the expansion of existing projects that are related to issues and needs identified by the 2014 Greater Miami Jewish Federation Population Study: A Portrait of the Miami Jewish Community.

The grant amount will be based upon:
- Mission alignment
- Program’s scope and scale
- Opportunities for collaboration with other organizations
- Extent to which the program is able to leverage additional funding sources
- Prospect for sustainability

Awards may be used to cover expenses directly related to implementing new programs or expansion of existing programs, such as salaries of program staff, outreach, marketing, supplies, materials, events or local travel. Grants cannot be used for non-local travel, scholarships, events or capital projects. Grants will not cover more than 75 percent of the total project cost.

Grants will range from $2,500 to $10,000.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Eligible applicants include nonprofits with tax-exempt status (or fiscal sponsorship) that serve the Jewish community in Miami-Dade County. Nonprofits that have current Federation grants must be in compliance with the terms of those awards to be considered. Only one application from an organization will be accepted.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications are due by email by 4:00 PM on Friday, September 8. Late applications will not be considered. Grant notifications will occur by December 31.
