Grant Description
Grants to Vermont K-12 teachers to develop STEM learning opportunities for students. Funding is intended for the purchase of materials that will engage students in science and engineering disciplines. This program supports the implementation of curriculum-driven classroom experiences.

VASE Small Equipment Grants are designed to make it easier for Vermont K-12 teachers to create new in-classroom activities to expose their students to the excitement of hands-on science and engineering experiences. The grants are designed to help offset the cost of the materials including hardware, software, lab equipment, STEM kits, maker tools, etc.

Grants are made to K-12 teachers in Vermont schools.

Ineligible
VASE generally does not fund requests for general-purpose classroom equipment such as computers, tablets, etc.

This program is not intended to cover extracurricular activities such as robotic clubs.

Pre-Application Information
Timeline:
A call for grant applications will commence on September 1, 2023. Applications will be accepted until September 30. VASE's review of applications will begin in October 2023.

Number of Grants
VASE generally makes up to ten awards annually.

Estimated Size of Grant
Grants will typically be in the $1000-$1500 range
