Grants of up to $2,500 to Bristol, Rhode Island nonprofit organizations and individuals to improve the quality of life in the local area. Applications will be considered for a wide range of programs and services with the potential to enhance civic life. Priority will be given to requests for the direct costs of new initiatives.

The Grant Committee will focus primarily but not exclusively on the following categories to facilitate the selection process for the panelists. They will also assist the board in tracking the needs of the community as FCA seeks to enhance the civic opportunities in the Town of Bristol.

-Sports & Recreation
-Vocational & Technical
-Community Service

-Senior Services
-Environment & Sustainability
-Other, at discretion of the Committee

Up to $2,500

Individuals and nonprofit organizations that work toward enhancing the civic experience/community life in Bristol are invited to apply for grant funding.

Proposals should not request money to replace existing public funding.

FCA funds are not intended to become part of an organization’s or project’s annual budget, as subsequent proposals will be considered independently and are not guaranteed to be awarded repeatedly.

Volunteerism and matching funds, either in-kind or cash, are encouraged by the Bristol/RWU FCA.

Applications will be accepted via mail, email, or online.

The Fund has $25,000 per year available to grant. Funding is distributed over two grant cycles. Grant proposals must be submitted no later than the following:

-April 15 for notifications by May 15
-October 15 for notifications by November 15
