Texas State Historical Association (TSHA)
Awards to Texas school educators to recognize outstanding contributions to the quality of history teaching. Nominations are invited on behalf of worthy individuals who teach full time at the elementary, secondary, or higher education levels. Anyone may submit a nomination.

The Mary Jon and J. P. Bryan Leadership in Education Award is given annually to honor two outstanding educators in Texas: one award at the Elementary/Secondary level and the other at the Higher Education level.
The winning educators will be presented with a certificate and a check for $5,000.
Any person may nominate any full-time educator presently teaching history in a Texas school or college.
Letters of nomination sent to the award committee must be postmarked on or before December 8, 2017.
The winning educators for 2017 will be presented with a certificate and a check at the Association's Annual Meeting in March 2018 in San Marcos, Texas.
