Awards to Alabama individuals and groups for exceptional work in reducing litter and cleaning their communities. Nominees will be evaluated on the size of the affected area affected, the number of individuals involved in the project, and the duration of the project. Winners will be recognized with a plaque.

Nominations for outstanding anti-litter projects will be accepted in following categories:

- Vulcan Volunteer of the Year
- County
- City
- Special Media
- Honda “Don’t Drop It On Alabama” Award
- Education
- Judicial
- Law Enforcement
- Business and Industry
- Adopt A Mile
- Adopt A Stream
- Don Hines Memorial Award

Statewide winners will be recognized with a handsome plaque to be presented At the PALS Governors Awards Program on November 8, 2017.

The competition is open to all Alabama cities and counties.

Nominations will be accepted for outstanding anti-litter projects by individuals, organizations, Businesses, civic groups, PALS Chapters and Affiliates, schools, etc.

Nominations MUST be submitted to the PALS office by October 12, 2017.
