Grants of up to $750 and grants of up to $1,500 to Alabama public and private K-12 school teachers and teams of teachers in eligible locations for creative educational classroom programs that are not included in traditional school budgets. Funding is intended for projects in all disciplines that help teachers introduce innovative teaching methods and produce a better-educated workforce.

Eligible teachers are located in the funding source's service area, which covers most of the rural areas of Autauga, Elmore, Coosa, and Chilton Counties, as well as Tallapoosa, Talladega, Bibb, Perry, Dallas, and Lowndes Counties.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Teachers in public and private schools, K-12 and home school associations in CAEC’s service area are eligible to participate.

Grants are not intended for equipment or capital investments (ex: IPads, tablets, computers, printers, projectors, playgrounds) unless the equipment is used in conjunction with a creative initiative.

Funding may not be used for salaries or professional development.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications must be postmarked by November 18, 2022.

The principal's signature is required on the hard copy that is sent to the cooperative. Only one application per project per school will be accepted.

Individual teachers can apply for grants from $250 to $750, while teams of teachers are eligible for grants up to $1,500.
