Grants to New Jersey nonprofits for programs that will enhance the quality of life for children and families within the funding source's service area. Preference will be given to programs with an emphasis on providing relief for those facing food insecurity. The funding source's focus area centers on supporting non-profits and improving children's lives. Programs should benefit children and families residing in Berkeley Heights, Chatham, New Providence, and Summit.


Nonprofit organizations with 501 (c)(3) or another tax-exempt status may apply.

Funds are not available for individual scholarships or endowment funds.

Funds are not available for general operating expenses (including salary, overhead, and rent) of established ongoing programs, except in instances when the ongoing program is related to supporting local non-profits and improving children's lives.

The JLS will notify all applicants of their decision regarding applications by February 15, 2017.
