Grants of up to $200 and grants of up to $750 to South Dakota FFA Chapters, 4-H Clubs, and FCCLA Chapters to engage youth in projects to enhance rural communities. Funding may be used for community improvements or public safety activities. Student participation is required for all projects.
These grants were developed to demonstrate the importance of rural communities and the value of organizations that work together to improve rural life.
Funding is scored on the following criteria:
-Community and student involvement
-Accomplishment of educational and project goals
-Justification of community need/benefit
Types of Grants:
-Basic: The basic grant is used for community improvement projects.
-Safety: The safety grant is used for projects that enhance public safety.

Grants are open to 4-H Clubs, FFA Chapters, and Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Chapters.
Applications must be received or postmarked no later than November 15, 2017.
Awards will be announced by the end of December 2017.
