Oconee Rivers Audubon Society (ORAS)
Grants ranging from $300 to $600 to Greater Athens-Clark County Area, Georgia individuals for research and projects involving bird conservation, environmental education, and habitat enhancement statewide. The purpose of this program is to promote stewardship and awareness of Georgia's birds and biodiversity.
The ORAS Conservation Grant program helps support community members, teachers, and students in the Athens area who are working toward the same goals as the Funding Source. Since its creation, the program has funded several scientific research projects, community service activities, education initiatives, and conservation projects in the Greater Athens-Clarke County area, and in other areas throughout Georgia.

Any individual wishing to conduct research or complete a project with an emphasis on bird conservation, habitat improvement, or environmental education within Georgia is eligible.
Applicants must be located in the Greater Athens-Clarke County region or have a connection to the Athens-Clarke County area. This includes students and employees of the University of Georgia or other local educational institutions.
Application Period: February 1 - March 13, 2019.
Application & Instructions: Applicants wishing to be considered for this grant award must complete the following steps:
1. Submit ORAS Conservation Grant Application Form.
2. Submit an Applicant Letter.
3. Have one Letter of Recommendation submitted.
