Grants of up to $800 to Cobb County, Georgia public and private schools and after-school programs to plant gardens that grow fruits, vegetables, and flowers. Funding is intended to provide an opportunity for children to learn about health, nutrition, nature, math and science, and build self-esteem.

The purposes of the program are:

- The program provides opportunities to children through school gardens to experience and study nature.
- Students also learn how to grow and appreciate fruits, vegetables, and flowers.
- Gardens can connect the relationships between math, science and the food children eat.
- Children can overcome nature-deficit disorders with just a few hours of wonder in the garden.

This year, each grantee could receive up to a maximum of $800. The award amount will be based on the size and scope of the project and the number of awards granted.

The proposed program must be completed by December 1, 2017.

To be eligible for the Keep Cobb Beautiful, Inc.
