One award of $5,000 to recognize an Oklahoma public school administrator who has demonstrated excellence in education administration. In addition to the cash award, the awardee will receive a glass sculpture designed specifically for this award. The awardee will be recognized at the Academic Awards Banquet taking place on May 19, 2018.
Accomplished administrators have the knowledge and skills to establish programs that meet the concerns and needs of their students; they possess leadership knowledge and skills; they are able to connect research and practice; they consider the developmental needs of all school-age children; they have an awareness of human resource management and development; they know how to manage physical resources; and they are able to manage their financial and business operations.

The Medal winner will receive a $5,000 cash award and a glass sculpture designed specifically for this award.
The nominee must expect to continue in his or her administrative role in his or her school district during the 2017-2018 school year.
The nominee must currently be a full-time employee of a public school in Oklahoma and must have demonstrated excellence in education. Each nominee’s performance will be evaluated in terms of his or her own particular educational environment.
Anyone is eligible to make nominations for these awards.
All nominations must be submitted online on or before Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 5:00 PM.

The prospective award-winner (nominee) will initiate the process from the online portal. To begin the process, the nominee will create an account using his or her email address and a password.
The nominee will designate individuals to submit nominator statements and recommendation letters. Verification of eligibility from a supervisor will also be required. The nominee can monitor who has complied with requests to provide information and will receive a system-generated email when a third-party request has been completed.
All third parties will receive a system-generated email requesting specific information. They will click on the link provided in the email and will not be required to create an account or to log in. All requested information—nominee statements, recommendation letters, honors and awards, publications, etc.—must be input via text box.
The nominee will receive a system-generated email when a nomination has been successfully submitted.
The nominee is responsible for ensuring that all information, including that requested from third parties (e.g. letters of recommendation and verification of eligibility), is submitted via the online portal by by 5pm on Tuesday, November 28.
The honoree will be recognized at the Academic Awards Banquet on May 19, 2018.
