Public or private schools must be located in the SSP membership area, which includes the following communities:

Pennsylvania: Adams, Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Bedford, Blair, Butler, Cambria, Cameron, Centre, Clarion, Clearfield, Clinton, Crawford, Cumberland, Elk, Erie, Fayatte, Forest, Franklin, Fulton, Greene, Huntingdon, Indiana, Jefferson, Juanita, Lawrence, McKean, Mercer, Mifflin, Perry, Snyder, Somerset, Union, Venango, Warren, Washington, Westmoreland, and York.

A maximum of $2,000 per school is budgeted. For proposals exceeding this amount, adequate justification should be provided.

Teachers who directly or indirectly employ spectroscopy in their curriculum are eligible to apply for the High School Equipment Grant.

These are usually teachers of biology, chemistry, physics and general science.

Public or private schools must be located in the SSP membership area.

Computers and calculators are generally not funded. However, probes and various accessories can make a reasonable grant proposal.

The application deadline is December 14, 2016.

The proposals are ranked and the awarded from the top-down until all funds are exhausted. The outcome will be emailed to you in March 2017.

Funded equipment is shipped directly from the vendor in May 2017.
