Arkansas Humanities Council, Department of Arkansas Heritage
Grants of up to $3,000 to Arkansas nonprofit organizations for the preservation, conservation, interpretation, publication, and research of African American heritage and history. Examples of eligible costs include website development, exhibits, research, and oral history collection. Funding may also be used to cover the costs associated with the presentation of African American history and heritage programs.

Grants are made to Arkansas not-for-profit and nonprofit agencies.
Grants may be used to produce DVDs, and podcasts.
Grants will be awarded on a competitive basis, as long as funds are available.
Applications for grants must be postmarked by November 1, 2016. Applications must be submitted on the minigrant application form.
The proposed grant period should begin no earlier than the 15th day of the month following the month the application is submitted.
